"We're going to be rich!"

It all started one winter day in early 2003. Cofounders Winston Tseng and Chris Ling were facing a dilemma that every young adult must overcome at some point in their lives... "What are we going to do with our lives?"

You see, Winston had just graduated from the University of California, Berkeley a few weeks before, but was not excited about the career options that lay ahead for a young man with degrees in mathematics and economics. Chris, set to graduate that Spring, had also begun to picture his future as a computer programmer. Although there is no doubt that this electrical engineering and computer science major would have found success in this world as a "techy", both he and Winston couldn't help but wonder... "What else is out there for us?"

That winter day the two set out to do what any practical realist would do, they brainstormed together for ideas that could make them rich. Chris came up with the idea of selling contraceptives on the internet to people who wanted to remain anonymous, and Winston promptly rejected that idea. Since all great ideas are solutions to problems, the two looked to themselves to see what problems they faced in life. The problem they needed to tackle thus became clear... "We need a way to find ourselves some dates."

Since both Chris and Winston had been luckily blessed with the gift of "no game", they came up with a unique way for people to meet on the internet, without the stigma of the "I'm so desperate I'll go on internet looking for love".

It was at that moment that Yachachi.com was born. While the idea of meeting people on the internet was not novel, the genius behind Yachachi was that the user would not be going online to find/meet a random stranger, who might end up to be their soulmate/stalker. Instead, Yachachi would be a way for college students to meet that certain someone that they've noticed in their class, at the library, the gym, or at a party one night. It's a way for you to meet that person you've made eye contact with, but you didn't get a chance to talk to. The person you met through a friend but have't seen since. The handlebar streamers on this suped-up tricycle we call Yachachi is that it's completely private! As a user, you browse through our profiles of other Yachachi users, selecting the ones you would be interested in meeting. Nobody knows your Secret Selections but yourself, but... if one of the people you happen to select, also selects and wants to meet you, then BANG! our automated system sends both of you emails with each other's information. From that point on, whether or not you two meet is completely out of our control and totally up to you!

Yachachi.com is a fun, safe, and easy way to meet new people. It's completely risk-free because if a user you select doesn't then select you, nobody will ever know you selected them in the first place! Use it to find out if that certain someone you've been wondering about, has also been wondering about you! Don't let opportunity pass you by. Go find out...
